Taiwan Costco!

Here's one thing that made me feel closer to home.
COSTCO!!!!!!

I was super excited to go to Costco in Taiwan.
And let me tell you, it was quite the experience.
Similar to going to Costco in Hawaii, it's kind of a big deal... and you need to carry everything you get back home. And home is far, far away. So my Backpack was ready to explode.

But before that, we went to the food court. Look what they have!!!!!
Isn't it wonderful!
Wait, it gets better!
Instead of Chocolate sundaes, they have Mango Sundaes!
Yummy!!!! (Although, I was missing the chocolate. But don't get me wrong, they were very good!)
And this was the result of our shopping trip. Haha
Please take note of the Nutella. That was my favorite part. LoL

Denny's of Taiwan

There is this restaurant a couple of blocks away (not too far) that is like the Denny's of Taiwan. I don't know what it's called, but it's open super late, and you're allowed to get breakfast food later than all the other restaurants. I liked it a lot. It was quite tasty! Here's what I'm going to get next time. I unfortunately didn't get it this time. Jenny did though!

I'll have to avoid that Kiwi though. Yucky! (Or at least.. ouch)
They make my mouth hurt... ALOT!

botanical gardens

For this weekend, we decided to venture into the city and buy tickets to see the botanical gardens. It was beautiful and I am so glad we did it.
Although I do not know what all the plants were called, here is some of what we saw.

Note: I am the man with the loin cloth.

This flower is beautiful! It was my favorite!

Biggest fish ever! And it did something really gross with it's gills which looked like something that could be in Jurassic park.

Taipei {temple} (101)

This weekend we got to go to Taipei
And in Taipei, we got to see the Taipei, Taiwan Temple.
It was beautiful. It looked so different on the inside than I had ever seen. It was gorgeous.
We got to do a session of baptisms too, which was quite a blessing

To the right is the chapel with a distribution center as a basement. :) We came on a Saturday and it was still busy! I got a picture of Christ and a picture of the Temple there. And I am really glad.

The next place we went to in Taipei was Taipei 101.
What is Taipei 101 you ask?

Particularly to Krista: THIS IS THE BIGGEST MALL I HAVE EVER SEEN!
There are 6 floors simply for shopping. Given the basement is mostly food, it also has some clothing stores and toy stores.
Look! I touched the top of Taipei 101! Aren't I so talented?
Christina, Me and Heather. :) Aren't the beautiful! I'm so blessed to know them.
Look what I found! :)

The pathway. I don't know why all these cities are all over it. I never found out. But it was still very cool.
Taipei 101! (google it for better pictures)

Holy Moly! That building's tall! haha
Christina; our beautiful photographer. Look what she goes through to get the perfect shot. On the floor and everything. And in a skirt! Love her!
Introducing Elder and Sister Liston of Orem, Utah. They are the funnest couple missionaries. I absolutely adore them. They are so fun and really have made our experience in Taiwan TEN times better!
This girl! She has become my "waiting for a missionary" buddy. We talk story about our favorite missionaries and how incredible they are for doing what they do. I've gotta say, it's fun to hear other stories besides my own all the time. :) I'm glad she likes to talk and listen to me. I <3 her!

big buddha

Over the weekend, a couple of weekends ago, we took a bus to Taichung, took a train to Chunghua, and then took a taxi to the Big Buddha! :) It was amazing. Everything is so beautiful.

It's really fun to travel around and see what Taiwan is like. It's also fun to get stared at like you're a celebrity. Haha I just cannot stop laughing at all the funny looks we get. Then again, we are a silly group. :) But I love every single one of them.
